Video shooting in the rain

The most pleasant season is rainy. Rain clouds come floating , not to muddy our days , but to make us clam, happy, and hopeful… The time when rain droplets touches the soil making it marshy gives a gratifying smell which showers our spirit and waters our soul. And adding video shooting in the rain, gives a cherry on the top of cake feeling.

OUR EXPERIENCE

We came to know this, because of one incident. Being in a multimedia sector we are supposed to shoot videos frequently. Everything was planned, the set was ready but, suddenly rain showered on us. We thought of canceling the shoot.

Simillarly next morning rain arrived again. Instead of wasting the day we decided to shoot in the rain itself. It was challenging to shoot without getting the instruments wet. It was both a challenge and an opportunity at the same time.

And finally we completed our shoot, after analyzing we came to know that the video was success as the rain gave the another world and atmosphere to the video. And that’s how we accomplished our shoot for a desired aim accidently. The star performer in our video shoot was the rainbow. We never thought of getting such a beautiful element in our video. 

Shooting videos in the rain is enjoyable

Rainy days are always attractive because they easily enhance the color, white balance, and sharpness of the picture. However, a rainy day doesn’t mean a bad day for photography. Once you’ve taken the time to go and perform video shooting in the rain, you’ll discover that a whole new world of images is waiting for you.

We can take videos even in the rain as long as it conveys the mood of rain. As rain is transparent therefore to convey the mood of rain in our video we should take dark and clean background .

This outstands the strokes of rain in video. The more drama that the environment provides, the more artistic and memorable is the video. Shooting on location with rain is much more creative and beautiful rather than in studio. The illusion of realism is easier to convey which also makes it cost effective, as in studio for making a real looking atmosphere is pretty hard and costly issue to create.

Moreover, the most beautiful outcome of rain is Rainbow which gives an extra feel to the video.

Therefore, the video shooting made when its raining captures all the softened world around the edges. It captures the streets and sidewalks, turning them into liquid mirrors during the rain, also known as reflecting the sky. Light and colors blend in, adding an extra finishing touch to the video. And yes, Rain in video making has its own benefits – first its simply a different look making it an asset of our video.
